A site study and feasibility analysis include the first processes, after visiting the site and reviewing the home owner's ideas, to evaluate the site for possibilities and limitations. The first drawings are often black-and-white renderings to capture the specific dimensions of the space and ensure that the environment (i.e. attached structures or soil/ground composite) will structurally and aesthetically meet expectations.
Illustrations are the next step, usually most exciting to the property owner, for bringing the dream of the project to life, with detail that makes the space easier to imagine. Here's what the project looks and "feels" like, in context. This is also an important stage of getting "likes", "dislikes" and changes of mind from the owner. When you can see what it will look like, it's easier to comment on changes.
Once the final illustrations are approved, it's time for the "reality" of construction documents to be reviewed with the builders/developers, which become the basis for their delivery of a budget and schedule to the owner. These details are all the contractors need for documenting the required materials and labor for the project.
